Native to South Africa, Ryszard started his way in the hospitality industry at the age of 14. Passionate to customer service, he has gained his experience in sales and marketing, food and beverage, finance, project management and other areas of the industry across diverse geographic regions. His history includes leadership roles in hospitality operations for luxury four and five star hotels and resorts in the USA, Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia. Being a pro-active person by nature Ryszard is also passionate about coaching his staff, travelling and sports, in particular tennis and swimming.
|Ali Farooq - Operations Manager
A highly self-motivated and dynamic Maldivian with 16 years of experience in different roles within the resort. Passionate and dedicated professional with demonstrated management skills within the hospitality industry. Ali is a natural leader in organizing and coordinating to effectively manage operations, provide innovative concepts, supervise high performing team and oversee staff.
|Nabeel Johar - Director of Finance
Native to Sri Lanka, Nabeel's career extends over a period of 23 years with exposure in international hotel chains. His prior experience includes other five star properties in the Maldives and Sri Lanka, with senior positions within the financial field. Nabeel's passion lies in his family, with being a proud father of four children.
|Ronnie Presillas - Human Resources Manager
With more than 15 years of experience in human resources and training management, Ronnie has worked in various international hospitality groups in his home-country the Philippines, as well as Middle East, United States and the Maldives. He possesses extensive exposure to diverse cultures and generations of hoteliers which is a key aspect in the Human Resources profession.
|Vita Magomedova - Front Office Manager
Native to Russia, Vita started her hospitality career in 1997 with Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah as a receptionist. She was a part of three successful pre-openings Front Office teams; Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Shangri La's Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa Oman and InterContinental Doha. Vita relocated to Kurumba Maldives from her position as Complex Front Desk Manager in Westin and Le Meridien Bahrain City Centre.
|Mubitana Siba - Executive Housekeeper
Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Siba has been working at five star properties as Executive Housekeeper for more than 15 years. His experience prior to Kurumba Maldives include pre-opening of the award winning Singita Lebombo Kruger National Park, as well as work in Four Seasons Hotel Westcliffe in Johannesburg South Africa. Siba is also a caring father of two beautiful girls and a Liverpool Football Club fan.
|Marta Janas - Food & Beverage Director
Native to Poland, Marta has 16 years of experience in the hotel industry. During her career, she worked in food and beverage operations in famous hotel brands such as Marriott International, InterContinental, Sofitel and many other five star properties in Europe, Middle East and Maldives. She is passionate to contentious self-development and currently a student of Cornell University for her post-diploma in hotel business.

Native to Indonesia, Asri started her career in hospitality industry as a front line staff and later found her interest in spa. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in wellness field in various Dubai & Maldives properties. Passionate about holistic health and well-being, Asri brings new perspective and ideas to the team which will be beneficial for team achievement in providing memorable experiences for guests.
|Shyam Sunder Giri - Safety & Security Manager
Native to Nepal, Giri served in the Royal Nepal Army prior to his move to hospitality industry. He is a highly qualified Safety and Security professional with more than 15 years of experience, ranging from Security Officer to Security Manager. Giri is a personable leader who comfortably interacts with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Being dedicated to his profession, Giri has gotten profound knowledge in security operations, specializing in risk assessment, establishing safety practices, conducting investigation on allegation of Theft or Crimes and other security functions. Giri is always focused to deliver extensive level of Safety & Security to all the external and internal guests of the resort.
|Ali Shareef - Chief Engineer
Dedicated Chief Engineer with excellent technical skills and proven success in managing various projects in Kurumba Maldives since 2004. Native to Maldives, Ali willingly accepts new projects and challenges adapting easily to changing environments and priorities. Determined, planned and executed preventive maintenance and safety goals to protect property, guests and staff. All is passionate to fishing and travelling with his family.
