Snorkeling in the Maldives

The Kurumba Maldives lagoon is surrounded by breakers, which reduce waves and currents. These calm conditions, combined with an average depth of 1 to 1.5 metres, make snorkelling nearby ideal.

Venture out and explore vibrant coral outcrops filled with thriving marine life. Then swim beyond the breakers and witness an even larger world of coral, colourful fish, stingrays, turtles and sharks.

Majaa Recreation offers free snorkelling equipment and life jackets. We also recommend all guests complete complimentary lessons to brush up on underwater skills, learn how to protect our reef and stay informed of any local risks.

Scuba Diving in the Maldives

Ours is one of the most celebrated snorkelling and diving resorts in the country. Explore the house reef and nearby dive sites with our PADI-certified instructors – and discover ancient coral growth, colourful schools of fish rippling in waves, and reef sharks swimming in lazy, easy circles.

Many of the best sites lie 5-30 minutes away by boat – including Manta Point, wreck dives and some of the most exciting drift dives in the Maldives.
