A traditional Maldivian herbal medicine passed down from generation to generation, Dhivehi-beys is a set of ancient remedies which we proudly use in our modern spa therapies. 

Kurumba is the first spa resort in the Maldives to honour and embrace Dhivehi-beys on an everyday basis – and we ensure continued practice in order to refine, preserve and protect the art for future generations.

Thari Da Shunga is an experience you’ll never forget. A warm tropical island night, the sky overhead painted with stars and the gentle murmur of surf kissing the shore nearby. Warm coconut oil poured from traditional cowrie shells – and then calm and enduring bliss. Champagne and chocolate-dipped fruit complete the treatment.

A natural skincare and spa line that works in harmony with your body’s natural systems. These traditional skincare products address changes to your skin – as a result of seasonal, lifestyle and hormonal changes. Combining clinically-tested bioactives with over 100 unique plant, mineral and marine extracts, plus delicately scented flower oils. Akarakara Our Signature Treatment

A luxurious tailored massage created specially for Kurumba’s Veli Spa. Different levels of pressure are applied per your specifications, and paired with aromatic healing oils, a hot veli sand poultice and local herbs. The results are near miraculous – loosened muscles, a mind at ease, softened skin and lifted spirits.
